Every year I look forward to running with the Helping Up Mission team in the Baltimore Running Festival. I enjoy running in the race but the best part is the fundraising and the people I meet along the way.  I do this because it is a way to grow closer to God and help those in need. God has given me many blessings and this is a way for me to share God's love with others. Every year I get to run with people who went through the program at the Mission and some who still are in it. Running with them is very inspiring because it shows how God's love is spreading through the Helping Up Mission. It is God who empowers the people in the program to overcome and defeat homelessness along with any other challenges that come their way. The Helping Up Mission isn't just a program, but a loving community that truly displays how God loves and saves.
