Description automatically generatedOn March 18, 1885, The Baltimore Sun printed a notice that Reverend Abraham Bradenbaugh left Virginia to begin missionary work in Baltimore.  That spring, his missionary work would quickly become Helping Up Mission.  Our work hasn’t changed all that much in 140 years— today we are still restoring hope and rebuilding lives.

I invite you to join us on Sunday, September 28, for a very special afternoon to honor this milestone- Helping Up Mission Through the Ages, our 140th Anniversary celebration!  It’s an old-fashioned picnic on the site of HUM’s future Recovery Park.

This event will bring together community leaders, corporate partners, and compassionate individuals—friends like you—who share our purpose to bring help and hope to men and women struggling with homelessness and addiction.

For more information on tickets, contact Jennifer Bedon, Chief Philanthropy Officer at 410-873-1582 or jbedon@helpingup.org.
